Dans un village reculé du nord, on apprend à la jeune Yuri (Helena Zengel) à ne pas sortir après la tombée de la nuit et à avoir peur des habitants de la forêt qui vivent reclus, les Ochi. Lorsqu'un bébé Ochi est abandonné par sa meute, les deux se lient d'une amitié inhabituelle et elle entreprend un voyage audacieux pour le ramener à la maison.

In a remote village in the north, young Yuri (Helena Zengel) is taught not to go out after dark and to be afraid of the forest inhabitants who live in seclusion, the Ochi. When a baby Ochi is abandoned by her pack, the two form an unusual friendship and she embarks on a daring journey to bring him home.
